The TAG mission.

We envision a future where systems are just, communities shape their own futures, and every person has a fair chance to thrive. In that world, no one is overlooked, and everyone is treated with dignity. We advance that vision by strengthening nonprofits through grant research, strategy, and writing support so they can partner with communities and funders to create lasting, equitable change.

I bring over 20 years of management experience in higher education and nonprofits to TAG. I love using my writing, listening, and critical thinking skills to support the incredible work of social impact organizations. I love helping social impact professionals solve problems and helping others reach their full potential because I want to say to my children that I used what I have to help make a more equitable world for them and others. I have a BS in English education, an MS in counseling, and an PhD in student affairs administration.  When I’m not working hard for nonprofits, I’m spending time with my husband and kids (when they’re home), volunteering, and reading.

Integrity

Integrity is about honesty, authenticity, and trustworthiness.

Those things inspire trust and trust is the foundation for all effective partnerships.

Constant improvement

While we do celebrate wins (even small ones) because that makes a happy life, we constantly strive to improve. We can never be perfect but we can progress.

Clarity

We ask questions and check (most of) our assumptions. So many difficulties and wasted time are caused by lack of clarity and no problem can be solved without a clear understanding of it.

Kindness

We don’t do “brutally honest.” Honesty, yes. All day long and twice on Sundays. But honesty doesn’t have to be brutal. Kindness means we treat all with respect, warmth, and consideration.
